We will survive!

I took a look at all of the friend feeds on facebook that I stopped following - then checked in to see what was up with them. Not a single one will I consider following again. These feeds are filled with nastiness, depression, and downright hate. I was, quite frankly, appalled.  I've been keeping my mouth shut so as not to offend anyone with my political beliefs, but I'm actually really upset - at myself for keeping my own peace.  

I can't believe the hate that is being bantered about out there in cyberspace.  Like that can even make a difference.  I don't need that in my life. Wallow as you will and propagate the negative or get off your collective asses and start being positive about something - even if it's the simple fact that you were alive this morning. 

The world didn't end when half of our country chose a socialist and imperialist government to lead us for the last eight years. And it's certainly not going to end just because a majority of the country chose this new path. We will survive. All of us.  Despite what you may think.

And I'm not saying that this is a better path, it's just a different path.  All of the naysayers who predict doom and gloom - throwing out tidbits of news articles to reinforce the doom are making me nauseous.  I'm afraid to say anything at this point - so I'm posting this.  

Give it a chance people!  Give it a frickin' chance to succeed or we will Ventura this administration just like the media hopes we will.
