Well it's another Friday. I have the R100 with me today and have found a hotspot to hook in to the net for homework. Yippee! As close as the 401 building. The weird part of sitting in this break area is the mass movement of homeless through the skyway system. They come in from the cold.
Pluses: bright sunlight coming in through windows, adequate number of tables and chairs for eating here (I do lunch later than most), free wifi for 1 hour care of the 'bou, and quick walking distance to several edible fast food joints.
Negatives: Mass amounts of homeless that stand close and just stare off into the distance as if in a trance (makes me think of a recent zombie book I read). Herds of teenagers from the inner-city last chance high school wandering through the skyways thieving and robbing the patrons.
So, it's February, the last weekend of. The RNC is coming to town in September. Oh joy. <-- can you read my enthusiasm here?
I heard today that the the city is going to go all out to remove the pigeons from downtown for the NRC. I think this is a edict from commandant Coleman (St Paul Mayor). My question is, will they also remove the homeless? Seems they are a much higher security risk than pigeons. As September gets closer it will be interesting indeed to see just how much of our travel is limited in and out of downtown, what parking is like, and how tight security is.
Well back to the drudge.
